The Search Processing Unit (SPU) is the heart of Hyperspace. It is a data path processor designed from scratch to support basic search primitives, like hashing, inverted indexing, range indexing, Boolean groups processing, sorting, etc. Those primitives, coupled with high BW memories and smart data structures open the path to search latencies that are 100X faster than the standard SW implementation.
Hyperspace SPU architecture is mapped to FPGA fabric in the cloud. Hyperspace offers an Elasticsearch-compatible API, improving scalability, reducing infrastructure costs, and providing high-performance search capabilities
